The Science Education Bachelor (S1) Study Program for the first time implemented the 2014 curriculum which is a competency-based curriculum. The study program curriculum underwent several changes in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and the needs in the field. In 2016, curriculum adjustments were made referring to Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia (KKNI). In 2018, the 2016 curriculum was arranged for the emergence of new courses according to Pertukaran Mahasiswa Nusantara (Permata) program. In 2019, curriculum changes were made to support the institution’s program, namely internationalization at home. The 2019 curriculum is based on KKNI with the addition of credits for English, ICT, and Cross-Study Program courses. In 2020, curriculum changes were made referring to the government’s policy on Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) through Permendikbud No. 3 of year 2020 which gives students the right of three semesters of study outside their study program, namely: one semester of the opportunity to take courses outside the study program within their own university and two semesters of carrying out learning activities outside the university.
